SaniGuard Sanitizing Spray is effective against the spread of Tinea Fungus Skin Infection, more commonly known as Ring Worm. Ring Worm is common among children and pets. Ring Worm may be spread by skin-to-skin contact. SaniGuard Kills ringworm fungus on fungi contaminated surfaces.

Ringworm can also be transmitted through contact sports such as wrestling, but any athlete has a risk of contracting the fungal infection through skin-to-skin contact. Ring Worm is contagious and it’s easy to bring it home, to work or to the gym, thus spreading Ringworm by contact or by leaving the contagious fungal infection on surfaces which someone else may come in contact with and then contract the fungal infection.

The most well known sign of ringworm is the appearance of one or more red raised itchy patches with defined edges. These symptoms of Ringworm appear as patches on the skin and are often lighter in the center, taking on the appearance of a ring. If the infected area involves the scalp or beard area, then bald patches may become evident. If the finger nails or toe nails are affected by Ringworm, they may thicken, discolor, and finally crumble.

Doctors can diagnose ringworm on sight, or they may take a skin scraping. Skin with ringworm is examined under a microscope, or put on an agar plate in a microbiology laboratory. Some of the fungi fluoresce under a black light.
